Coaching
I provide coaching through my work at Osio Labs. You can find out more by submitting a coaching inquiry form.
Coaching is a partnership designed to support you as you learn more of who you are and how you want to be in the world. As a rule, coaching stays focused on the present and future, helping you find the ground beneath your feet and your path forward. You decide what needs to be worked on and how to get there. My role is to inspire new ideas or challenge existing ones as you do the work to find your way.
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for you to explore questions and ideas. This is very much a client-driven practice where you control the direction of the sessions and your effort inside and out of the session time is what produces results.
Topics for coaching can be anything and everything in life. I specialize in leadership, existential health, and eco-spirituality but life is certainly not limited to those.
What is existential health?
Existential health focuses on meaning-making, personal identity, and the capacity to face life’s ultimate concerns, e.g. death, uncertainty, isolation, and suffering. Often when we face changes that shift our awareness of reality we can become disoriented while we figure out which way is up. This can happen through illness, job loss, leaving religion, death of someone we love, or any other myriad ways our feet lose purchase. Aside from momentous change, we can also find ourselves drifting through life, going through the motions but feeling out of touch. Focusing on existential health creates space to explore, try out new ways of being in the world, and develop the capacity to navigate the reality you live in. I'm particularly familiar with nihilism and navigating a life that can feel pointless.
What is eco-spirituality?
Eco-spirituality is a nature-focused way of connecting with that which is more than ourselves. My own practice is based in modern Druidry and contemplative practices that incorporate the more-then-human world into my daily lived experience. I do not have a dogmatic stance on spirituality and can hold space for all paths from atheism to polytheism and everything in between. I specialize in atheist spirituality in particular.
My approach
I have a foundation in common coaching models like positive psychology, solution-focused and goal work. I also bring experience from a range of holistic models as well, including somatics (body-based), mindfulness, the enneagram of personality, and Aletheia unfoldment. I work with people who are open to exploring self-awareness and getting new perspectives, allowing for a wide range of approaches to opening up new paths. I’m also keenly aware of trauma’s effect on our lives and in coaching, both through my own experiences and through formal training. I comply with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics.
Certification
I completed my Professional Coaching Skills Certification through the Institute of Coaching Studies, and I'm currently pursuing International Coaching Federation (ICF) Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accreditation.
I'm also training as a Non-Religious Spiritual Director and Existential Health Practitioner with the Center for Non-Religious Spirituality.
Additionally, I have the following certificates:
Embodied Transformation (Strozzi Institute for Somatics)
Certified Trauma-informed Coach (Centre for Healing)
Enneagram Certification Level 1 (Empathy Architects)
Proficiency in Focusing Partnership (PFP) award (The International Focusing Institute)
